Modern Indian Dance Academy R.G.K Dance & Fitness Studio is committed to help the community through the teaching of modern Indian dance & art. The studio also produces Indian, traditional, innovative and collaborative works to train future generations and build local, national and international community support for the modern Indian dance & art. We strive to embrace global dance forms, stretch creative skills to new heights,and to celebrate the joy of dance to achieve high quality performances. Modern Indian Dance Academy R.G.K Dance & Fitness Studio is Plymouth area's leading with a motive to discover expression through creative dance, positive energy, fitness and improved confidence. Students are as old as 6 years and as young as 75 years. All are welcome to this professional institute in which they will experience an exceptional spirit of modern Indian dance. We offer a range of dance from folk, classical, semi classical to modern Bollywood. Students will be participating, creating, interpreting and producing original art inspired by the culture of old, new India and the world. We welcome new and experienced dancers of any age. All students get an opportunity to perform in a professional atmosphere at the school's annual showcase and other community events. Objectives
ABOUT the Artistic Director/Choreographer/DancerRenu Kumar, the Founder of Modern Indian Dance Academy R.G.K, Dance and Fitness Studio, is a very enthusiastic individual, who has worked with highly celebrated choreographers and dancers. Renu Kumar is a professional choreographer originally from Muzaffarnager, Uttar Pradesh, India. She brings with her intensive training in Classical North Indian Kathak dance and in Fine Art. Renu graduated from the University of Meerut with a Masters degree in Political Science and Bachelor in Fine Art, Prabhakar in Kathak Dance. USA she graduated in Graphic Art, Computer Art and Animation from MPLS Technical College and Academy Education Center, MN. She continues promoting cultural awareness and running the 1st Modern Indian Dance Academy in the MN. The RGK Dance Studios has served over 700 students since they opened their doors in 2003. She is well known for her original, energetic, elegant, artistic and vibrant choreography for the Modern Indian and Folk Dances. Her participation in charity shows is never-ending and her performances and choreography always leave her audience in awe. Renu loves children and has a passion to teach them a part of rich Indian culture through dances and art. For her, dance is like a form of yoga, which synchronizes the inner biorhythms with the movements of the body. Besides dancing, Renu enjoys music, and is passionate for any kind of art- such as paintings, photography, graphic art and costume design.
